Spring Cleanup
A Fall Clean Up has been scheduled of for Saturday, September 12th 8 am - Noon No trash will be accepted before 8 am Free to Smithfield Township residents; proof of residency/identification will be required - Electronics will not be accepted - Metal items can be recycled, please separate metal items from trash items - Tires: Up to 22.5 inches without a rime. Limit of 8 free tires per household; a member of the household must be present with your tires - Tires above 22.5 inches will not be accepted - Tires with rims, $8 each - Freon appliances are $8 each - Propane cylinders must have the valve out and kept separate from other trash - NO BATTERIES, CHEMICALS, WET PAINT OR ASBESTOS

Due to the COVID-19 Crisis the public Memorial Day Service has been cancelled

East Smithfield Fourth of July Celebration
The Smithfield Township Volunteer Fire Dept will be holding a small "drive by" celebration on July 4th at 1:00 PM. All are welcome to watch as they drive down main street from water street. The theme is to honor all front line workers such as nurses, doctors, police and any others that are thought of. If you would like to participate please send a message to the Smithfield Township Volunteer Fire Dept and they will let you know when and where to line up. If you would like to watch please be on the sidewalks and follow the social distancing guidelines.
